Review: Singapore Airlines Business Class A330 Denpasar to Singapore
The Singapore Airlines A330-300 is configured with only business class, economy plus and economy seats. The Singapore Airlines business class cabin in this flight review was slightly dated with muted browns and angled lie flat seats. Since the flight was only a short regional, the angled lie flat seats were plenty comfortable. The service and food was amazing as expected on Singapore Airlines business class.
How We Booked Singapore Airlines Business Class
This Singapore Airlines A330-300 flight from Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) to Singapore (SIN) was the first of our three flight journey back home from Bali Denpasar Airport. We each used 80K United Airlines points to book business class from DPS-LAX. The actual routing was DPS-SIN, SIN-TPE and TPE-LAX. There were several different routing options, but this one allowed us to have a free 23 hour layover in Singapore and also to experience and review the #1 airport in the world (Singapore Changi Airport) and one of the best airport lounges in the world (Singapore Airlines Silverkris Lounge in Singapore). In all we had about 20 hours of flying time, three business class flights, a free Stopover in Singapore and access to several top airport lounges.. not bad for 80K points (the signup bonus earned from one credit card).
Flight Space on Singapore Airlines A330
The Singapore Airlines business class cabin on the A330-300 has 5 rows in a 2-2-2 configuration for a total of 30 seats. Our seats were 12 A and C on the side of the cabin. I recommend getting seats on on one of the sides if possible since it offers more privacy than seats in the middle.
The Singapore Airlines business class seats were large and comfortable angle lie flat with 60 inches of pitch and 24.5 inches of with and 172 degrees of recline. This was great for a 3 hour regional flight, but for a long haul flight, it would be preferable to have a 777-300ER reverse herringbone configuration with completely lie flat seats.
Singapore Airlines Business Class Food and Beverage
The food in this flight review was some of the best we’ve had in business class. We both ordered the chicken which was actually a surprisingly large portion. It was half a chicken including the usual bread, salad, veggies, potatoes etc. The salad was great too with 4 large prawns.
Flight Review Conclusion
The Singapore Airlines A330 Business Class flight from DPS-SIN was overall very nice. The food was great for a business class flight and the service was exceptional. Something to keep in mind is that the angled lie flat seats were perfectly fine for a regional flight, but may be less preferable for a long haul flight.
